How Seneka screens U.S. trademarks

Seneka uses a proprietary screening model that evaluates multiple trademark signals against current USPTO data.

Check a brand name

Source, coverage and snapshot

Seneka screens a USPTO snapshot of U.S. federal trademark applications and registrations. The dataset metadata verified on September 24, 2026 listed 11,361,418 records and a snapshot update on July 20, 2026. Each report shows its recorded snapshot date and count when available. This does not cover every unregistered mark or state, foreign or marketplace use.

Signals you can inspect

01

Name wording

Written similarities between the proposed name and a cited trademark.

02

Pronunciation

How similarly the names may sound.

03

Record status

Whether the cited USPTO record is registered, pending, or has another recorded status.

04

Jurisdiction

The jurisdiction selected for the check and the jurisdiction shown for a record.

05

Nice classes

Selected classes and the cited record's classes; a direct overlap is shown only when classes were selected and the records support it.

06

Goods and services

Where source information is available, review what the cited mark covers. Similarity of goods and services still needs human assessment.

How to read a result

A 67/100 Preliminary Risk Indicator is not a 67% probability of a legal conflict. A 73/100 Overall Match Signal does not predict a filing result. Check the cited record, status, goods and services. Without a selected class scope, class relationship is not assessed.

Evidence and limitations

The full report includes source record details where available. A result is not legal advice, a clearance opinion or a guarantee of registration. Verify current USPTO records and consult a qualified trademark attorney before a significant decision.
